Winter Activities
NIGHT SKIING
Beginner and Intermediate skiiers and riders can experience
the thrill of coming down Bourke St at night. Blue Bullet 1 &
2 chair lifts operate on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
SNOWTUBING
Head down the hill in a modified inner tube, with a tube tow giving
you a smooth ride back to the top. Located at the top of Blue Bullet
2, operating every day conditions permit.
SNOW SHOEING
If you can walk you can snow shoe! It's the perfect way to explore
the snow covered slopes and enjoy Mt Buller's winter wonderland.
Snowshoeing is an activity for all ages and athletic ability. Snowshoes
are for hire from the Ski School Rental Shop. There are also guided
snowshoe tours available throughout the season, from the Mt Buller
Ski and Boardriding School. You can also take one of the Yowie Eco
and Snowshoe tours from La Trobe University.
TELEMARKING
Telemark skiers are people who are looking to add a little adventure
and challenge to their snow holiday. You can learn this skill from
the Mt Buller Ski and Snowboard School. As well, the equipment you
will need is available for hire from the Ski School Rental Shop
at regular ski hire rates.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Mt Buller has 9km's of easily accessed trails that circle around
the back of the village and offer magnificent views of Mt Stirling
and the Bluff. Cross-country is for all ages and abilities. Lessons
and equipment are available from Ski School.
TOBOGANING
For your first snow experience with the children, Mt Buller offers
toboggan hire, and two designated toboggan areas - one at the skating
rink and the other in the village next to La Trobe University.
FIGGLES
Figgles are short skis, and are available at most ski hire outlets.
They provide an alternative to skiing, giving you more freedom and
a chance to spice up your next holiday.
THE GREAT HALL
La Trobe University has an endless list of activities to keep you
entertained indoors. The hot spot for all the action is the Great
Hall. You can enjoy everything from climbing and abseiling, tennis,
badminton, currolling, basketball, netball, and in-line skating.

THE VILLAGE CINEMA
Join us at the Mt Buller Village Cinema to catch one of the latest
release movies. Shows screen once or twice a night throughout the
season at regular cinema prices. The cinema seats 180 people, the
seats are comfortable and traditional cinema snacks such as hot
butter popcorn and jaffas are available at the cinema ticket window.
